3 lbs sirloin tip sliced into short thin strips
1 large onion – sliced thin
3 cloves garlic – rough chop
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup vinegar (add more if needed)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup achote water (mix achote powder with water)
- Mix ingredients except water and oil together and allow meat to marinate for 20 minutes.
- Remove garlic and onions from marinade and sauté meat until tender.
- Add onions and garlic and sauce to the meat along with achote mixture and cook over medium heat for about 6 to 8 minutes.
- Great with White rice
